Fr. John Major Celebrates 30 Years of Priestly Ministry

On Sunday, September 10, Trinity Church celebrated the 30th anniversary of the ordination of our pastor, Father John Major. The celebration included prayers by the congregation for Fr. John and a prayer by Fr. John recommitting himself to his ministry. Following Holy Eucharist, many members of the parish stayed to enjoy ice cream cake with Fr. John.

A message from episcopalRELIEFnepa…

With many just beginning the long hard work of recovering from Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, Trinity Church is preparing the connect with a church in Texas or Florida to help directly as others helped us help West Pittston after the 2011 flood. We’ll be sharing information soon on how our parishioners, family and friends can join in our efforts to help those affected by these terrible storms.

And with so many in our area remembering the flood waters brought to our area by Irene and Lee just six years ago, we urge everyone to prepare now for potential future storms. Resources for preparing your family can be found here.

Please take a few minutes now to gather supplies your family might need and to create a plan for evacuation. We hope and pray none of us will ever need it.
